Verde Valley Humane Society
For nearly 40 years, Verde Valley Humane Society has been the safety net for lost, homeless, and unwanted animals in the Verde Valley, and it’s our supporters who make our work possible.
By including the Verde Valley Humane Society in your planned giving, your legacy of compassion and kindness will live on. It will reach more pets in need – the injured, ill, lost, neglected and homeless. There are a variety of ways to include VVHS in your plans
If you’re simply creating a new will or trust or revising your overall estate plan, remember the pets by leaving part of your estate to the Verde Valley Humane Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, by putting the following language into your will or trust:
After fulfilling all other specific provisions, I give, bequeath, and devise __________% of the remainder of my estate (or $XXXXXX if a specific amount) to Verde Valley Humane Society, a tax-exempt corporation, tax id# 74-2400312 incorporated in the state of Arizona and located at 1520 W. Mingus Avenue, Cottonwood, Arizona 86326.
Make a direct Charitable Distribution from your IRA to VVHS and you can avoid income tax on the distribution. You may use all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD) as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
Name VVHS as a beneficiary for all or part of your life insurance, pension, or bank or investment. List us as: Verde Valley Humane Society, (EIN # 74-2400312) with offices at 1520 W. Mingus, Cottonwood, Arizona 86326.
Consider a gift of stock to help pets in need. Any publicly traded stock that has appreciated can be donated directly to VVHS. In doing so, you can avoid paying capital gains and you may even be eligible for an income tax deduction of the fair market value.
There is no minimum gift requirement for joining the VVHS Heritage Circle, and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have or discuss how your gift can make a difference in our work and in the lives of pets in need in the Verde Valley.
