Verde Valley Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter serving Cottonwood and communities throughout Arizona’s Verde Valley. We provide temporary shelter, veterinary care, adoption services, lost-and-found assistance, microchipping, community pet resources, and foster placement for homeless cats and dogs. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their families and help every adoptable animal find a safe, loving home.

Verde Valley Humane Society

Adoption of homeless pets is our most important job.

VVHS provides shelter and care for homeless animals throughout the Verde Valley. In 2025, we took in 644 homeless pets.

We promote respect for all animals and practice socially conscious sheltering by adhering to the guiding principles that facilitate the best outcome for each homeless cat and dog in our care.
