Adoption Story!

Rascal, now Remy, is loving his new home and kitty sibling!

“He was the right fit,” said adopter Chris R. “I can’t believe he lasted there for three months. I was lucky enough to get him.”

This is the third dog Chris has adopted from VVHS, all of which have been great additions to his family.

Remy is almost inseparable from Kat-Ra, his new cat sibling, and enjoys his morning mile long walks.

“He has already adopted this place,” said Chris. “He’s pretty settled in…Nobody chases lizards like he does.”

Meet Our Featured Pet for Adoption, Ivy!

Ivy is our gorgeous, youthful and energetic hound! She weighs around 60 pounds and loves to explore and sniff on her walks. This beauty has been waiting too long for her future adopter…one year and four months too long! She would be a great companion for an active adopter who can provide training and plenty of exercise. Ivy is a sweet, snuggly girl who just can’t get enough cuddles from our volunteers. She’s a bit picky about her doggie friends but may enjoy a quiet, polite dog sibling. If Ivy sounds like the right fit for you, give us a call at 928-634-7387.

We are in need of kuranda beds for our dogs! These elevated beds alleviate pressure on joints and provide comfort in all weather conditions to help keep our animals healthy and cozy while they wait for their forever homes.
