Sparkle
"Unleash Generosity" Poster Girl
Beautiful Sparkle is our Poster Girl. Her job is to represent all the dogs and cats that come to our shelter hoping to find their way to a new home and a new life.
Beautiful Sparkle waited 504 days for the perfect family to find her. She came to us, was re-homed, then returned -- a sad past for sure. We didn’t lose heart. We knew she would make someone a loyal, comforting companion. She’s really a sweetheart. Recently, there were no dry eyes as Sparkle greeted her new family as if she’d been waiting 504 days…just for them.
Please donate to help us find forever homes for all our great dogs and cats and to help us care for them while they wait.
During 2023 more animals than ever came to us needing safe loving homes. We believe you want us to continue helping dogs like Sparkle. Sometimes all they need is food and shelter, but often they need more. Your donation today will ensure we're here for other pets in need.
Your generosity allows us to go that extra mile. From specialized surgeries to just extra TLC, your donations help save lives. Please unleash your generosity to help.
The Verde Valley Humane Society held the first Putt 4 Paws Golf Tournament and Putting Contest on October 28 at Agave Highlands Golf Course.
Avid animal lovers and golfers turned out for a day of sun, fun, prizes, raffles, and food.
Unfortunately, No golfer won the $10,000 prize for the special Hole in One, but they had fun trying and will be back next year.

Verde Valley Humane Society joins Giving Tuesday
This year many important causes are reaching out for your help. We’re asking you, as an animal lover, to consider a gift to the Verde Valley Humane Society and the animals we care for.
Also consider helping not just one day but every day throughout the year with a recurring donation every month in 2024.
Yes, save the date! But we know you’re busy. November 28th is just one day. That’s why we think of Giving Tuesday as an symbol for the entire season as we reflect on our gifts and consider giving to others. Mark your calendar or open your hearts today!
Giving, collaborating, and celebrating generosity offers many opportunities. Unleashing generosity can mean becoming a volunteer or foster for our needy animals. It can mean telling your friends and neighbors about the good work we do and encourage them to adopt, spay neuter, and care for their own animals. It can mean making a year-end gift to ensure our work will go on to benefit the animals that come to us. It can also mean considering a recurring monthly donation or a legacy gift.
Whatever your choice, unleash your generosity and help us.
