Our New Website!
Early this year we launched a new website!
We are still so excited we can’t stop looking at it. We knew we wanted a website that would tell Verde Valley Humane’s story, show off our great pets for adoption, and make it easy for our supporters to help us and volunteer. We’re especially proud of our new Adoption pages.
Remember, your donations helped us make the new website a reality. We thank you.
Stephanie Peters, Our Website Designer
Our new website was created by Stephanie Peters from SPeters Designs, her digital marketing and design company. Stephanie is also an artist and really likes cats. But thinks dogs are cool too…
She calls herself a millennial and an artist who enjoys helping tell stories and share passions. She is an exhibiting, professional international artist.
Established in 2012, SPeters Designs has done graphic design, web design, and website maintenance for a variety of companies from non-profits to tour agencies and restaurants. Find her at https://www.spetersdesigns.com/
“Stephanie’s positive attitude reflects not only in her design, but in her day-to-day relationships. Her knowledge, honesty and insight during the process focused on our hope for the future of our shelter animals. Verde Valley Humane Society is thankful for all Stephanie has done for us.” VVHS BOD Website Committee
Kristy Meyers, Our Photographer
Kristy Meyers is a passionate photographer and is especially passionate about pets. She’s been a VVHS volunteer since 2019. She launched Penny Lane Photography as part of this experience and named her business after her beloved pup Penny, adopted from VVHS just four years earlier.
When VVHS found Stephanie to design our new website, Kristy was ready to help us and made available her portfolio of photos taken at Verde Valley Humane while a volunteer. She was responsive to Stephanie’s needs as she created website content, and is featured across the various pages.
Besides being one of our priceless volunteers, Kristy is a new mom and a Mingus Union High School counselor. Kristy won Arizona School Counselors Association’s School Counselor of the Year in 2022 and will be traveling to Washington, DC this spring to be honored at the National SCOY Gala among the other School Counselor of the Year award recipients across the nation. Following this, she hopes to return to a regular schedule of visits to VVHS.
Atlas is one of the Mastiffs that arrived at the Verde Valley Humane Society last May. The first photo shows him at around 6 weeks old when he came to the shelter. The next photo is Atlas at 9 months old at his forever ranch. Isn’t he gorgeous? And he was the runt of his litter!
Atlas and 12 other Mastiff pups and adults came to us through Animal Control from a nasty hording situation in the heat of early summer. The special needs of these rescued giants was one of the reasons we need your support every day.
So many more like Atlas…
We are able to help pets like Atlas because of your generosity. Please consider a donation today to ensure we’re here for other pets in need.
Almost every day we see a dog or cat with a special need. They come to us for no fault of theirs. Sometimes all they need is food and shelter, but often they need more.
That’s where you come in. Your generosity allows us to go the extra mile for dogs and cats in need – from teeth removal to hip repairs to specialized surgeries or just extra TLC – your donations help save lives.
