Some kitties need extra attention…

Sweet senior Azalia was a shy gal whose owner could no longer care for her. When she arrived at Verde Valley Humane, 11-year-old Azalia received plenty of love from staff and volunteers. Fran, our cat volunteer lead, gave her special attention, sitting with her until she was ready for a  friend.

Now Azalia is ready for adoption. She’s looking for a quiet home with a comfy bed and loving humans to share her forever years.

Your donations help us give more cats like Azalia that special attention to bring out their true personalities and prepare them for their new homes. Thank you.

Your gift today can help ensure the most vulnerable pets, the lost, the abandoned, and the orphans have a safe place and find a forever home.

Verde Valley Humane’s
Giving Trees
will be up until January 1st

Here’s our Lobby Giving Tree.

Celebrate with us. Stop at the shelter, 11am – 4pm every day, pick an ornament or just bring a gift or a donation.

More Giving Trees…

You can still help make sure Christmas comes to all the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens at Verde Valley Humane’s shelter.
VVHS Giving Trees will be around the Verde Valley until January 1st. Each Giving Tree is loaded with tags – each with gift requests from the pets and people who care for them. Just stop by and take a tag from one of our Giving Trees, then buy a gift, leave it under the tree, or drop it off at the shelter.

New Trees

Now there are more. We have a tree in American Legion Post 25 in Cottonwood on Calvary Way off 89A for members and guests.
And don’t forget when shopping at PetSense for your own pets, leave a gift for ours under our tree there.

Maynard

When Maynard’s owner had a stroke and was no longer able to care for him, he came to the Verde Valley Humane Society. His teeth were in bad shape. We asked our friends on Facebook to help us pay one of our partner veterinarians for his dental fees. Maynard was only 8 years old and soon we knew he was ready for his new happy home.

So many more like Maynard…

We are able to help pets like Maynard because of your generosity. Please consider a donation today to ensure we’re here for other pets in need.

Maynard’s story isn’t unusual. Almost every day we see a dog or cat with a special need. They come to us for no fault of theirs.
Sometimes all they need is food and shelter, but often they need more. That’s where you come in. Your generosity allows us to go the extra mile for dogs and cats in need – from teeth removal to hip repairs to specialized surgeries or just extra TLC – your donations help save lives.

Your gift today can help ensure the most vulnerable pets, the lost, the abandoned, and the orphans have a safe place and find a forever home.
