Azalia Finds Her Cozy Bed
Azalia’s adopter wrote to us “I adopted Azalia a month ago and we have adjusted to each other quickly. She is over large, her nose is too long and her tail is too short — so I wonder why no one adopted this wonderful lady sooner — I’m glad no one did. She’s a keeper! Oh yeah, she snores too. She follows me around the house and sleeps over the heating element in the waterbed.”
Azalia’s story: About 11 years old, sweet senior Azalia was a shy gal looking for a quiet home and a cozy bed.She came to us with an ugly wound that was treated by one of our partner vets. She was adopted, but the adopter developed dementia and could no longer care for her. Poor Azalia was returned to us after only two months. One month later Azalia found her forever person. A sad story with a happy ending. She has her warm cozy bed.

We are at capacity throughout the year. We may have a dog kennel or two available from time to time but they fill up quickly. Then we’re right back up to capacity.
Our staff, shelter volunteers, and fosters work hard to provide care and love. Please donate to help us find forever homes for our great dogs and cats and to care for them while they wait.
We are a socially responsible shelter adhering to guiding principles that facilitate best outcomes for the homeless cats and dogs in our care. That means that when the shelter is full we do not euthanize to open up space.
